IPC Contracting Process
The IPC is a member-driven regional group purchasing organization in affiliation with Premier. Contracting decisions are made by IPC's Advisory Council which is comprised of the supply chain executive at each IPC member hospital or system.
The Council primarily seeks out volume aggregation opportunities within the Premier contract portfolio in accordance with the Premier contract calendar. In the event of a regulatory mandate, initiatives may be approached out of sync with the calendar. A Council member may recommend:
- an initiative outside of the calendar based on their facility's goals and objectives;
- a non-Premier contracted category or product for consideration as an IPC initiative.
IPC will refer breakthrough technology suppliers directly to Premier.
